Term and Conditions for Hotel Packages
  • Cancellations must be received 72-hours before arrival date or guest will be charged one night stay. In addition, all cancellations will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.
  • Reservations booked 7 day or less before the arrival date will be charged $25 Hotel delivery fee automatically.
  • No refunds are made until all tickets and vouchers for services are returned to the Texas Tourism.
  • No refunds are made for unused ground services and features.
  • All rates are subject to change and cancellation.

1. How does Texas Tourism work?
Everything is done online. Simply fill out the information on our website and we do the rest. We make your reservations, buy your admission tickets, and find the best restaurants for you to enjoy. Once everything is confirmed, we will email you with a reservation number. Please remember this number and use it anytime you need to contact us in case there are changes in plans later. We mail a package to you by Priority Mail containing all your vouchers, tickets, and other information to make your trip more enjoyable. Bring this package with you to San Antonio, and then enjoy your vacation!
We also send a fax right away to the hotel you requested, and then wait for their return fax with your confirmation number. Your credit card is charged after we receive the confirmation from the hotel. We then send you a priority mail envelope to your mailing address containing all the required hotel vouchers, dinner vouchers, theme park tickets, or whatever else is in your vacation package. Bring this package with you to San Antonio, and then enjoy your vacation!
2. How soon will I know if I got my reservation confirmed?
We usually require about a day to get everything confirmed. Texas Tourism will notify you by email as soon as everything is arranged.
3. Can I add extra night to a package?
Yes, you may stay for as many nights as you like! The cost for extra nights depends upon which hotel you are staying in. The extra night price is listed beside each hotel on the package page.
4. Can I pay cash or by check?
Of course you can pay by check! However, we require you mail your check to us 3 weeks in advance of your arrival date. Once we receive it, we'll issue your reservation number and mail your package of tickets and vouchers. We don't recommend sending cash through the mail, so please use only checks or money orders.
5. How far in advance do I need to make my reservations?
You can make your reservations anytime but we recommend that you make your reservations at least two (2) weeks in advance of your stay. That way, you'll be sure to get your package in the mail before you leave. Even though we use priority mail, it is best to make allowances for delays.
6. How do I cancel my reservations?
We hope you never have to cancel but, if you can't avoid it, we've provided a simple form on our site for changes and cancellations. At the top of this page, click the "When Plans Change" button, and fill out the form. You will need your reservation number, so have it handy. If you have already received your package of vouchers and tickets, please mail everything back to the following address:

Once we receive your package, we'll issue a refund to your account.
7. How soon will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged once we've confirmed your reservations and sent your reservation number. Your reservation number means we've confirmed your arrangements with the hotel and sent your travel package to you.
8. Do you accept debit cards?
Yes we do accept debit cards, they work just like credit cards with one exception...most debit cards have a daily limit, usually about $300. If that's the case for your card and your package is over that amount, please alert your bank ahead of time and ask them to authorize our charge, otherwise we'll get a "transaction refused" message and you won't get your reservations. Just tell them to expect a charge from "Texas Tourism." Most banks are happy to work with you on this.
9. What are the hotels like?
Texas Tourism has made arrangements with some of the finest hotels, in all price ranges, in San Antonio. We're sure you'll be able to find excellent accommodations for your family's vacation in our list at the price you're looking for. All hotels have descriptions and we encourage you to view these pages to help you make the right choice.
10. How do Dinner Vouchers work?
The dinner vouchers are like 'free money.' You visit one of the participating River Walk restaurants listed on the voucher and get $25 off your meal. Note: they're a "one time" thing so be sure to order enough to use it all-no change is given and if you go over that amount, you'll have to pay the difference. Two or more adults can have a great meal and not spend any extra, except for the tip...gratuities are not covered. All beverages are covered. One voucher is provided for each room reserved.
11. How do Hotel Vouchers work?
The hotel vouchers are to be shown to the front desk upon arrival to your hotel. They tell the clerk that your reservations have already been paid by Texas Tourism. Any other charges you incur such as room service, phone calls, movies, and parking, etc. are not covered and will need to be paid before you check out.
12. Can I upgrade my Sea World, Schlitterbahn or Fiesta Texas tickets to 2 day passes?
No, not at this time. We only carry the one day passes to these theme parks.
13. How many theme park tickets are included in the packages?
One ticket for each person you included in your party when you made your reservations.
14. Is the price listed on the hotel page the actual price I pay?
Is the cost of each child and adult already figured into the price?
Yes, total cost on the hotel page is the total cost of your package, all tickets included.
15. How can I change my reservation?
Simply click the "When Plans Change" button at the top of any page and a new page will open where you can enter your reservation number and make whatever changes are needed.
16. Can I make reservations for more than four adults? Can I reserve 2 rooms?
If there are more than four adults on your trip, you should buy extra packages. Most hotels permit a maximum of four adults in a room and each travel package includes only one hotel room. To reserve additional rooms, you need to get additional packages. This also ensures that everyone in your party will receive the correct number of tickets and vouchers and will not overcrowd the hotel room!
17. How can I contact Texas Tourism?
We have provided two contact buttons at the top of our website, called "Let's Talk" and "Customer Support." Both allow you to email Texas Tourism directly.
18. What if I want 2 rooms at the hotel? How can I get just what I want?
If there are several people in your party for this reservation, we recommend that you reserve 2 packages. The price comes out the same, and everyone gets the right number of tickets.
19. I just want some brochures about San Antonio and attractions in the surrounding area. Can you mail me some?
We cannot mail out any brochures at this time. Please contact the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau at 1-800-447-3372 and they will be happy to mail some to you.
20. If I purchase a Super Theme Park package for 4 adults does that include 4 tickets to everything? Seaworld? Fiesta Texas? Riverboat
Yes, that does include all the tickets for all 4 adults.
